UC Law SF Center for Business Law Wraps Up Successful Fall Semester | UC Law
It is been a fast paced and productive Tumble 2022 for the UC Law SF Center for Enterprise Law (CBL). The middle hosted many situations this semester, connecting associates of the company regulation neighborhood and advancing information of important legal challenges affecting the business environment.
Proven in 2018, CBL delivers together leading students, company leaders, practitioners, regulators, and college students to interact in the study, training, and follow of business enterprise regulation.
To kick off the academic year, the centre hosted a joyful-hour mixer with enterprise-minded law college students, fellows, alumni, and college. That was adopted by a CBL Lunch speaker sequence showcasing main corporate regulation practitioners in the Bay Place. The heart hosted the Fifth Annual UC Legislation SF/UCLA SF Financial Outlook event off campus, for the 1st time, at the gorgeous Historic Klamath Ferry with a stellar speaker lineup addressing the U.S. and California economy as well as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Eventually, the centre explored the new infrastructure of equity payment for unicorn startups as component of its Unicorn Initiative with the Brattle Group.
Here are some highlights from the drop:
Sept. 20: The centre celebrated the new tutorial 12 months with a Kick-Off and Delighted Hour, the place college users, board advisors, fellows, college students, and alumni enjoyed food items, beverages, and very good company.

The celebration, co-hosted by UCLA Anderson Forecast, UC Law SF and the Bay Spot Council Financial Institute, included economic analyses, a keynote speech, and panel of professionals, who discussed, amid other troubles, regardless of whether the U.S. is in a recession and how this could impact ESG expense matters.
Nov. 10: A panel dialogue on “The New Infrastructure of Fairness Compensation for Unicorn Startups” explored the existing state of fairness payment in unicorn startups. The professional panel provided Barrett Cohn (Scenic Advisement), Sriram Krishnamurthy (WSGR), Mike Huskins (Nikkl), Adrienna Huffman (Brattle Group) and CBL Govt Director Evan Epstein. Existing scholars contain Jay Anderson ’23 and Mounika Yepuri ’23 from the initial cohort, and Sheila Zerang ’24 from the second cohort.
